Air New Zealand has confirmed it is reviewing its student stand-by fares offer following a month-long trial.
Under the scheme, University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic students were able to buy $39 stand-by fares from Dunedin International Airport, to anywhere in the country - seat availability permitting, from September 7 to October 4.
Air New Zealand general manager domestic airline John Whittaker said the trial was well received and "used by a good number of students", but declined to reveal numbers citing commercial sensitivity.
"We were pleased with the trial and will be reviewing the outcomes in the coming weeks, before making a decision."
The feedback from students was positive, Mr Whittaker said.
