Health and safety improvements to the Otago Museum’s Hutton Theatre have also resulted in increased seating capacity.
A recent report by museum director Dr Ian Griffin noted that two lower steps without hand rails had been removed to "remove tripping hazards due to uneven step sizes".
"The added benefit is that seating capacity has increased by 19 seats," Dr Griffin said.
