Miss Johnston (left), pictured with Dunedin Airport business development general manager Megan Crawford, will be sharing her good fortune with a friend and is looking forward to catching up with family and other friends in Brisbane.
Miss Johnston, an office administrator at Gilmour Motors Suzuki, entered her name in the draw for a Queensland trip for two when she attended the Otago Daily Times and Dunedin Venues Great Kiwi Home and Living Show at the weekend.
The next day she was the excited recipient of a phone call from the ODT telling her she had won the Queensland trip provided by Virgin Australia and Tourism and Events Queensland.
Her prize includes a direct flight from Dunedin, four nights in Brisbane, tickets to the Brisbane Global Rugby Tens tournament and a day trip to Moreton Island.
