Pedestrian hit by car in central Dunedin

A 73-year-old man was left with one ankle dislocated and the other possibly broken after he was struck by a car.

The 47-year-old male driver was reversing down a driveway in Carroll St, central Dunedin at 12.52pm on Saturday when he hit the pedestrian, Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said.

The pedestrian was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
