Police confirmed the death at Bucklands Crossing in a press release this morning, saying the person died at the scene.
Emergency services were called to Lamb Hill Rd about 7pm on Saturday night, police said.
The road was closed for several hours while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing, police said.
