The Dunedin City Council is investigating extending a footpath and creating on-street parking to fix an issue for pedestrians in Mosgiel.
Council transportation safety team leader Hjarne Poulsen said the council was investigating options for extending the existing footpath on the southern side of Gladstone Rd North, near McFadden Dr.
''There is a wide area between the road and residential properties without any demarcation and often vehicles will park close against the properties, which forces pedestrians to walk on the road to get around cars.''
The options would include providing a footpath and on-street parking along Gladstone Rd North, he said.
