Locals were queuing up to help after a concrete truck toppled over in Dunedin yesterday.

About 10am, a Bailey’s Concrete truck tipped over and came to rest on its side in Brighton Rd, Ocean View.

Spokeswoman Rachel Bailey said the incident was under investigation and the driver was unharmed.

"We had some really lovely people stopping off for lots of help ... you can’t beat that.”

People from businesses near the accident scene came out to direct traffic while they waited on traffic control, and local residents came to support the driver.

"It was just a bit of everyone, which was really cool — when there's so much negative stuff out there, it's real nice that when something happens everyone comes to help.

"There are still people out there that will make it a priority to actually be nice human beings.”
