Unexplained death in Dunedin

Police investigating the death of a 38-year-old man in Dunedin say they do not believe it to be suspicious.

Offficers were called to the Glen Rd property, a block of small, semi-detached flats, last night.

The scene was being guarded this afternoon and a forensics tent had been put up in the frontyard.

Investigators dressed in protective overalls and masks could be seen entering and leaving by the flat's front door.

"Dunedin police are investigating the unexplained death of a 38-year-old male,'' a police spokeswoman said in a statement.

"At this stage it is not considered suspicious, however, is being investigated on behalf of the coroner to establish the cause of death.''
