Almost 1500 Mosgiel residents were without power for a period yesterday after their electricity was cut.
The Aurora Energy website said the fault had been located and was being repaired.
Fewer than five people were still without power by 4.30pm.
The fault coincided with a planned outage for maintenance affecting 85 people in Mosgiel, which was completed by 5pm yesterday.
