High-flying former Dunedin band Six60 has sold out its homecoming concert next weekend.
Eight of the 10 concerts on the band's nationwide tour have now sold out.
The group heads to Europe next month after signing a deal with Sony Music for the release of its debut self-titled album, Six60.
Six60 is touring New Zealand with ''new songs and perennial favourites'' following its recent North American tour and leaves for Berlin next month to focus on the European release of the album.
The band will also tour Europe and the United Kingdom, including the Glastonbury Festival, in June.
Band members Matiu Walters (vocals, guitar), Ji Fraser (guitar), Eli Paewai (drums), Marlon Gerbes (keyboards) and Chris Mac (bass) met when flatting in 2005 at 660 Castle St, from which the band took its name.
The group moved to Auckland from Dunedin early last year, following the success of Six60, which debuted at No1 in the New Zealand charts and went gold in its first week, before spawning three top 10 singles: Don't Forget Your Roots, Rise Up 2.0 and Only To Be.
The group won six Tuis at the 2012 New Zealand Music Awards in November, including best group, best single (Don't Forget Your Roots) and highest-selling album (Six60). Six60 played a sold-out gig at the Powerstation in Auckland last night and the full house signs will be out again at the same venue tonight.
The band's Hamilton concert tomorrow has also sold out, as have two of the three gigs in Christchurch next week.
Six60 plays at the University of Otago union hall on Saturday, April 20.
