Water rescue at St Kilda Beach

Emergency services at work in John Wilson Ocean Dr at 1.30pm yesterday after a water rescue at nearby St Kilda Beach.

A police spokesman said they received reports of one person in "distress" in the water.

A Hato Hone St John spokesman said one person was assessed at the scene and taken to Dunedin Hospital in a moderate condition.
