Swug New Zealand represents the web offset sector of the printing industry, and chairman Dan Blackbourn said the two-day conference was close to setting an attendance record.
The theme for this year's conference was Learn, Network and Share.
Guest speaker was nine-time Coast to Coast race winner Steve Gurney, who gave a motivational talk about ''success as a skill''.
Addresses by other speakers included information about changes to the print training organisation; the impact of rollers and maintenance on ink and press performance; thermal plate technology; installations and upgrades around the world; and changes to occupational health and safety legislation in New Zealand.
A highlight for many delegates was the site visit to the Otago Daily Times building yesterday afternoon.
Mr Blackbourn said the conference gave delegates an opportunity to hear from manufacturers and suppliers, and to network with fellow printers and others involved in the industry.
It provided an opportunity to learn from each other's experiences and knowledge, he said.
