Police want to hear from a witness to an alleged assault in Dunedin early on Sunday morning.
Sergeant Steve Larking said a male student hit a female student, knocking her to the ground.
The pair were known to one another.
Police believe a woman witnessed the incident, and want to hear from her, or anyone with information.

The incident occurred about 1.30am near the corner of George St and Dundas St.
