Trials of school day

At each others throats like a pack of wild dogs,
I look at their weapons supposed to move the logs,
The straw that broke the donkey's back has been placed,
And now all there is to do is prepare for the war we face.

The battle will be long and fierce.

Until the teachers use the stare that pierces,
To your very soul,
With smouldering eye flaming like charcoal,
But a light stops us from tearing flesh from bone,
The light of the bus that takes us home,
And just like that we're friends again,
After almost falling off sanity's end.
