Quake shakes Hawke's Bay

An earthquake struck near Hawke's Bay this morning.

The 4.2 magnitude quake hit 35km south-east of Wairoa at 8.53am.

With a depth of 45km, the quake was described as being "light" by GeoNet, but it was likely to have been felt.
