Harbour and Kaikorai turned on the heat in the latest round of the Dunedin division 1 club rugby competition.

Both teams cracked the half-century on a crisp autumn day.

Harbour thumped Dunedin 55-12 at Kettle Park in a game controlled by visiting French referee Benoit Lemonnier.

At Bishopscourt, Kaikorai completely dominated the middle stages of the game before posting a 56-20 win over University.

The students led 10-0 before Kaikorai, with No 8 Orlando Tuhega-Vaitupu in sparkling form, scored 49 unanswered points to take command.

Alhambra-Union finally broke through for their first win of the season, beating Zingari-Richmond 38-10.

Southern beat Green Island 41-27 at Miller Park.
