A student has been airlifted to hospital with burns after a chemical spillage in a technology class at a south Auckland high school this morning.
The student from Waiuku College suffered burns to his leg, arms and torso after being splashed with methylated spirits, an ambulance spokeswoman told NZPA
He was flown to Middlemore Hospital but his condition was not immediately known.
A second student was treated for minor injuries.
