Two people have been killed and another injured after two trucks collided in Morrinsville, Waikato, this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash on State Highway 26, near the intersection of Badger Close, about 7.20am.
Police have confirmed both male drivers of the trucks sustained fatal injuries as a result of the head on collision.
A passenger in one of the trucks suffered minor injuries.
The road has been closed while the police serious crash unit and other specialised staff attended.
Diversions on Hoheka Rd and Platt Rd will remain in place for several hours.
