A helicopter carrying workers from an oil rig ditched in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland but all 14 passengers and crew were rescued, operators said.
Bond Offshore, the company that operated the helicopter, said it made a "controlled descent" after a low pressure warning light came on during the flight. It ditched into the sea some 40km off Aberdeen, on the east coast of Scotland on Thursday (local time).
"It didn't crash," the company stressed. All 12 passengers and two crew were airlifted into life rafts. They were flown to Aberdeen for medical checks.
The total number on board had earlier been given as 16, but the figure was later revised to 14 by coastguard services.
