A search and rescue team helps locals on a boat as floodwater runs through a street in Enniscorthy, Ireland yesterday after the River Slaney burst its banks during Storm Chandra.

The storm has put parts of the United Kingdom and Ireland under weather warnings.

There were 99 flood warnings and 260 flood alerts across England yesterday, the BBC reported.

Schools in some parts of England and Northern Ireland were closed.
