A quarter hour later, Queenstown squandered possession cheaply and after a few nice touches Roslyn went ahead after a dipping shot flew into the net.

The second half was a lot more even with fewer chances. Roslyn nearly won the game in the final play when a free diving header in the middle of the box hit the post.
Green Island struggled to gain the ascendancy in the first half against University at Sunnyvale.
One of the highlights was when Green Island’s Matt Brazier was brought down in the box and Max Johnston stepped up to take the resultant penalty kick only for Darren Hart to pull off an excellent save.
Island’s interim coach Kevin Scoullar rang the changes at halftime making a double substitution with Sean Carter and Cam Scott being replaced by Henrique Viana and Riley Cuthbert.
It produced immediate dividends when Viana scored on 47 minutes for the only goal of the game.
Unfortunately, this was Viana’s last meaningful contribution as he was injured six minutes later and was substituted, allowing youngster Finn Kelly to play the last 37 minutes
