"It’s a true street party, a chance for us all to come together, welcome visitors and showcase the unique character and stunning setting of Cromwell and districts."
Festivities are set to begin at 5pm and the entire Heritage Precinct will be transformed into a lively hub of food trucks, entertainment and family fun, set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Dunstan and its historic buildings.
Musical and dance performances held throughout the precinct, including the Filipino community, Desert Roses belly dancers, Latin Soul and line dancing, are sure to get the crowd moving on the dance floor.
Back by popular demand, the team at Rachel Hirabayashi & Emporium’s exquisite corpse invites everyone to take part in a fun, collaborative art project.
The Circus Space aerial acrobats, featuring a mix of junior and adult performers, will also dazzle attendees throughout the evening.
For the young (and young at heart), there will be traditional family games on the lawn by the jetty, bouncy castle fun, face painting, roaming magicians, hula hoop fun and the return of the fairies with their giant bubbles.
On-stage, local act Offshore, will keep the crowd moving with some well-known tunes.
A twilight aerial show will then lead into the grand finale at 8.45pm the fireworks display over Lake Dunstan and the Kawarau River.
New for 2025, CDPG is thrilled to team up with the local Pyro International team, who will deliver a dazzling fireworks display over Lake Dunstan.
Fireworks will be launched from a lake barge directly in front of the Heritage Precinct, giving everyone front-row seats for the spectacular finale.
CDPG chairwoman Caitlin Dykes said the event was made possible thanks to the support of funders and sponsors.
"We are grateful for the generous funding from the Central Otago District Council via the Cromwell Community Board, Otago Community Trust and Aotearoa Gaming Trust, along with proud corporate sponsors Santana Minerals and Signature Homes and the many in-kind supporters who help bring this event to life."
