A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Tekapo-Twizel Rd (SH8) at about 8.20am.
The road was blocked while emergency services were in attendance.
"There are no reports of injuries," the spokeswoman said.
Traffic cameras in the region showed a frosty, foggy start to the day but it is unknown if weather conditions played a part in the crash.
Police urged motorists to take car while on the roads and drive to the conditions.
