Lievito bakery, found at the Otago Farmers Market at the Dunedin Railway Station on Saturday mornings, recently won a gold medal for its gluten-free bread in the New Zealand Bakery of the Year competition.
The same bread also got a bronze medal in the best bread category - not bad for a gluten-free loaf! They make a range of othergluten-free products and are about to release a gluten-free flour blend, which will be available from the market, the internet and a few local suppliers.
And of course there's a good range of other breads and baking. My favourites are the pain au levain, the stoneground wholemeal and the sour rye.
