90 close contacts isolating in South

There are now 90 close contacts of the current Covid Delta outbreak isolating in Southland and Otago.

The Southern District Health Board said as of 4.30pm today 90 people who had identified themselves as close contacts were isolating in the southern district.

That's up from the 73 close contacts announced by the board yesterday evening, as locations of interest linked to the outbreak continue to grow.

The figures come as the total number of cases in the outbreak rose to 210 today, with 62 new cases announced.

There are still no cases in the South Island.

SDHB medical officer of health Dr Susan Jack encouraged anyone in the South who had been at a location of interest to call Healthline and wait for advice.

Let's face it, Labour has management issues. They need to go zero tolerance because they can not manage anything in-between on / off.
The Kiwis who where out of the country and allowed back in all knew the risks that they would need to go into a 2 week quarantine if NZ went into a LD but Jacinda allowed them back in and now we all in LD. Allowing those people back in without a two week quarantine was a massive mistake and one that must fall fair and squarely on Jacinda's shoulders but as I see it there have been no internal media news articals calling this as Jacinda's fault.
