A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in north Oamaru this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident near the intersection of State Highway 1 and Redcastle Rd about 5.25pm.
Senior Constable Ruth Perham, of Oamaru, said the woman was walking across Redcastle Rd when a vehicle turning right from the highway struck her.
The woman was taken to Oamaru Hospital after being assessed at the scene by St John staff.
While the extent of the woman's injuries were not known, she was not believed to be seriously injured, Snr Const Perham said.
No further information was available.
