A family whose child has arthrogryposis are hoping people will wear blue next week to raise awareness of the rare condition.
Hannah-Rose, who has just turned 1, was diagnosed with the condition in utero, which resulted in hyper-extended legs, hip dysplasia and double clubfoot at birth.
Parents Renee Thompson and Daniel Berryman live in Waikouaiti with their family. Ms Thompson said her daughter was "fantastic".
Hannah-Rose was due to have her second surgery today to help with the condition.
Ms Thompson encouraged residents to wear blue on Tuesday for Arthrogryposis Awareness Day, and children at Waikouaiti School would also take part.
"We really want to paint the town blue."
The Waikouaiti family also set up a website, lovinghannahrose.com
