Karen Devlin (silver), Jan Stringer (bronze 1), and Sally Marsh (bronze 2) each have a shot at winning their respective classes, but never before have so many sisters competed in the club championships.
The three women, nee Mills, grew up with keen golfers for parents, but Mrs Devlin was the first sister to pick up the game 25 years ago.
Mrs Marsh started to hit the fairways 15 years ago, and Mrs Stringer began swinging the irons six years ago.
Their oldest sister Dawn Murphy had not found an affinity for the game to make it a foursome.
``She'd sooner sit watching paint dry with her feet in a bucket of ice,'' Mrs Devlin said.
The Mills sisters were out on the course twice a week, each with their ``own style'' of play, each letting the club do the work, and each wanting the others to go well.
While there had been some sibling rivalry in their youth - Mrs Stringer held the advantage in table tennis and basketball over Mrs Devlin back in the day - the sisters would remain on good terms this week as they competed in separate classes.
