Celtic Thunder solo and ensemble singers (from left) George Donaldson, Emmet Cahill, Keith Harkin, Colm Keegan, Ryan Kelly and Neil Byrne are coming to Queenstown.
The Irish group announced last week the dates for its debut New Zealand tour, which visits the Queenstown Events Centre on May 8 and the Dunedin Town Hall the next night.
The vocalists deliver a repertoire of favourites, from traditional songs from the Emerald Isle and modern hits such as The Boys are Back in Town and The Sound of Silence to original compositions Voices and Hunter's Moon.
Musicians on strings, guitars, percussion, whistles, pipes and more accompany the lads as they promote their ninth Celtic Thunder album Mythology, which debuted at No 1 on Billboard's World Music Chart and marked the group's fifth consecutive release to debut at No 1, along with the companion DVD.
The Mythology CD and DVD were released in New Zealand this year.
Tickets for the Queenstown show are available now via Ticketek.
