The crash happened near the intersection of Tomahawk Road and Domain Avenue shortly before noon this morning.
Hato Hone St John said it was alerted to the crash at 11.45am.
One ambulance, one operations manager and two rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene.
"One patient was assessed at the scene and has been transported to Dunedin Hospital in a moderate condition."
Police said the road was not blocked.
