DESPITE a 1km section of the Lake Hayes Track - part of the Queenstown Marathon's full marathon course - being impassable, with water knee-deep in parts, covered in floating branches and made more hazardous by misplaced rocks, event organisers, as of Wednesday afternoon, were yet inform the 4000-odd athletes if they were going to change the course.
