Last Thursday night's rainstorm wreaked havoc on parts of Queenstown, with 45 people evacuated from Fernhill, Sunshine Bay, Kelvin Heights and Bowen St's Qbox Motorhome.
At least six homes in Fernhill were evacuated, and some of the suburb's residents are concerned that spring rain, combined with forest debris from the Ben Lomond Reserve clogging culverts and drains, could result in more flooding events.
