AN exhausted Queenstowner caring 24/7 for her dying husband is imploring Health Minister Simeon Brown to turn some of the empty rooms beside Frankton’s Lakes District Hospital into even temporary hospice use. The former Lake Wakatipu Care Centre has now been vacant for 18 months, but Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora appears no further ahead with future options for the site than it was a year ago.
