Seven people were arrested in Queenstown at the weekend on assault and fighting charges.
Police Southern District Command Centre Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said three men aged 22, 23 and 28 - including an Irish national - were arrested for fighting in the resort's downtown area at 1am yesterday.
About 30 minutes later, a 25 year old Christchurch woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting the duty manager and a security doorman at Winnies bar in the Mall.
Also in the Mall, about the same time, two Christchurch men, aged 28 and 29, were arrested for fighting.
At 6am yesterday, a 33 year old Queenstown man was arrested for allegedly assaulting another man with intent to injure at a house at Frankton.
On Saturday, just after midnight, a 24 year old Queenstown man was arrested for allegedly assaulting another man near the KFC restaurant on Camp St.
