Earlier last week the hotel gained Qualmark Enviro Gold certification.
Heritage Queenstown general manager Mike Garvey said in a seasonal resort town, attracting the right team and retaining them was critical to the success of the hotel guest experience.
"We're doubly delighted with the achievements of the last few days," he said in a statement.
Heritage Queenstown has been operating since 1996 and employs 87 full-time staff.
Mr Garvey said staff gave generously of their time supporting local charities and took ownership of local clean-ups of public reserves as well.
