Police seek information about driving behaviour

A Queenstown man who allegedly crashed his car into a fence in Dalefield was later stopped by police in Frankton after he was seen overtaking a bus on double yellow lines with a flat tyre.

Sergeant Kate Pirovano, of Queenstown, said the 31-year-old was pulled over in McBride St about 7.45pm on Tuesday.

He was charged with dangerous driving, and elected to have a blood test after a breath-alcohol test indicated he had been drink-driving.

A Speargrass Flat Rd resident called police about 7pm to report the same car, with two occupants, had crashed into a fence post and left the scene.

Sgt Pirovano asked anyone with information about the driving behaviour of a silver-coloured 1997 Honda Prelude in the Queenstown area between 7pm and 7.45pm to contact police.
