Two men stabbed during a confrontation in Queenstown earlier this month have both been released from Dunedin Hospital.
Senior Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said he was not sure when the men were discharged, but understood they were both now ''recuperating at home'' in Wellington.
The pair were flown separately to Dunedin, one in a critical condition, after the incident on Camp St early on August 18.
At the time police said up to 15 people were involved in the incident which happened about 2.20am.
A 20-year-old Otago man was subsequently detained by Australian Federal Police in Sydney about 7pm the following evening.
He was returned to New Zealand and faces two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, which carries a maximum penalty of 14 years' imprisonment.
He is expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday.
