Held for the first time in 2018, and organised by Mīharo, this year’s event welcomed more than 1800 performers from 25 schools, kōhanga, early learning centres and community groups from across the Queenstown Lakes, Central Otago and Southland.
Along with kapa haka, there were also performances by the area’s Samoan community and Wakatipu High School’s Pacific dance group yesterday.
The two-day event, which was livestreamed via the Mīharo website, continues from 9.15am until about 3pm today.
