A "person of interest" linked to a spate of Queenstown tool thefts appears to have tried to break into a vehicle belonging to a security company owner - and was caught on his CCTV.
Two more burglaries, both at Lower Shotover, were reported to Queenstown police over the weekend.
In one incident on Saturday, tools were taken from a table in front of a house being renovated.
The second incident, which happened some time between February 26 and March 1, involved a break-in at a building site where a number of tools were taken.
Last week, two tool thefts took place at Lake Hayes Estate, as well as an attempted break-in.
The attempted break-in involved a vehicle belonging to a security professional, whose security cameras recorded the incident.
Sergeant Steve Watt has released the footage, saying police believe the man can help with their inquiries.
