Science came to Milton on Monday, and the town's young people embraced every second of it.

The national science roadshow attracted pupils from Milton schools when it visited Tokomairiro High School with a live demonstration of the wonders of electricity and science before pupils performed the 60-odd hands-on experiments.

The demonstrations included the "Sparks, Arcs and Gherkins" display, which involved a human circuit, an electrocuted gherkin, an electromagnetic bungy chair and 100,000 volts from a coil.
