One person has serious injuries after a bus and car collided south of Timaru this morning.
Police were called to the incident about 6.50am at the intersection of Ellis Rd and Salisbury .
"There were no passengers on the bus," police said.
State Highway 1 was closed with diversions in place and the Serious Crash Unit have headed to the scene, police said.
