The 53-year-old has been a member of the society ever since she appeared in its production of Oliver when she was in high school.
Since then, she has given of her time and talent, helping out with the choreography in several shows.
This year will mark the society's 50th jubilee performance.
For the jubilee, it has put together a compilation of songs and performances from several shows it has put on in the past, including Oliver, Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors and The Sound of Music.
Mrs Gardner said one of the most challenging things was deciding what songs should make the final cut.
Although there were many favourites she would love to have have incorporated, it was about compromising as to what was possible with the cast that was taking part.
''You can't do them all otherwise you'll be here until one in the morning.''
People could expect to see a lot of the usual ''oldies'' and familiar faces in the cast, but there were some new members as well.
The society had also sourced a large LED screen to fill the Balclutha War Memorial Hall's stage with moving images and video.
The first public performance is this Saturday. The show will then be performed every night from next Wednesday through to Saturday.
