The Jafas bar and restaurant in Lawrence, which closed last year.
Auckland couple Mary Trifunovich and Philip Morrison established the restaurant and wine bar in the former Bank of New South Wales building in Lawrence's main street about four years ago but a heavy workload forced them to close the business last year.
But yesterday, Ms Trifunovich confirmed the business would reopen under the management of Dallas and Tania Leebody, who have run licensed properties in both Waihola and Beaumont in recent years.
Ms Trifunovich and Mr Morrison will continue to own the property.
It is understood the business will have a name change but the Leebodys could not be reached yesterday to confirm that.
