Me and My Girl will be performed at the Balclutha War Memorial Hall in August with rehearsals starting in April. Dunedin-based Jeff Smith will direct the show and the society is calling for expressions of interest for head production roles of choreographer, musical director and production manager.
Publicity officer Sarah Andrew said the show was a popular choice. It features the London pearly queen and king and is set in the 1930s.
Former New Zealand entertainer Derek Metzger played the lead role in the Dunedin Operatic Society's version in the late 1980s.
Ms Andrew said the production would be exciting.
Society president Rodd Pearson said they would like to encourage those with experience in the theatre to consider taking on one of the roles in the show.
