Organisers of the 12th annual Clutha Super Masters Games yesterday were thrilled with the turnout of nearly 100 people from throughout the district.
Teams made up from rest-homes and clubs converged on the Balclutha War Memorial Hall for the gathering, which began with the traditional opening ceremony. Sporting personalities Corale Willocks and Bruce Park carried the flame and Ensign flag respectively, while teams lined up behind them to march around the hall.
After the formalities, the real fun began, with skittles, quoits, twister throw, floor netball and darts.
