Investigation after early morning car fire in Invercargill

A fire in a car in Invercargill is being treated as suspicious and is being examined by an investigator. 

Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said a member of the public reported the fire at Lithgow St to emergency services at about 2.40am.

The spokeswoman said a fire investigator is on the scene as the case is being treated as suspicious.

It is believed no-one was injured.
