A 39-year-old Invercargill man has been arrested in relation to an aggravated robbery last month.
The man was charged with aggravated robbery and appeared in the Invercargill District Court yesterday, Detective Sergeant John Kean, of Invercargill, said.
The charge related to the robbery of Elles Rd Night 'N Day store about 9.35pm on November 15, when cigarettes and cash were taken.
The man also faced drug charges, after police searched an Invercargill address yesterday morning, Det Sgt Kean said.
Police were continuing their inquiries into the robbery of the Gladstone Dairy on Saturday morning. It was the latest in a string of robberies in Invercargill.
Armed Offenders Squad members were called to Otatara in October, after a man in a devil mask robbed a dairy at gunpoint.
The Gladstone Dairy was also robbed earlier this month, on December 8, by two men, one wielding a machete.
