A man who faces 111 charges in relation to destruction of vehicles around Invercargill appeared in the Invercargill District Court yesterday.
He was granted interim name suppression.
The man’s lawyer Hugo Young said he faced 111 charges in all relating to taking, interfering with, arson and destruction of motor vehicles.
He is also charged with unlawful use of bank cards.
The charges relate to a spate of incidents around Invercargill in September that were well known to members of the public.
Mr Young asked that the man’s next appearance be in the Youth Court.
"There is another person who police suspect will be charged (jointly) later in the Youth Court" Mr Young said.
Judge Harvey remanded the man on bail to appear in the Youth Court on December 22.
