Latest stage of lakefront works nearly done

Construction of stage three of the Wanaka Lakefront Development is close to completion and sections of the pathway and boardwalk are already able to be used.

Queenstown Lakes District Council spokesman Sam White said construction was estimated to be finished by the end of this month and an official boardwalk opening would follow in October.

Stage three runs from Bullock Creek through to the Wanaka Marina and includes a shared pathway for pedestrians and cyclists along Lakeside Rd.
