Incidents disappoint police

A drink-drive operation in Gore has disappointed police, with incidents of dangerous and drunk-driving uncovered.

Sergeant Christopher Dunbar said about 200 drivers were stopped for breath-testing, and four people returned readings over 400mcg.

In addition, one driver on their third subsequent offence had their licence stripped and their vehicle confiscated.

Additional infringement notices were issued for failure to wear seatbelts, using a phone while driving, speeding, and breath-alcohol levels over 250mcg. — Allied Media
