The hotly contested event was in full swing during the weekend.
Seventy young dancers aged 7 to 17 travelled from around the country to take part in the annual competition.
Caleb Hiku, 15, took up rock’n’roll six years ago after his sister Kaiya urged him to do it.
The training was hard, but the competitions were fun, he said.
Invercargill Rock’n’Roll Club president Karl Herman was delighted with how the dancing went.
"It’s just been a weekend of fun at ILT Southland and all 70 kids have just outdone themselves, and although many Invercargill dancers were newbies to the nationals, I’m still very proud of them."
