Pacer, and his brother Harley, were treated to rides around the track by Southern Dragways.
The boys’ brother Dixon Cribb died last month due to a rare form of epilepsy.
Nine-year-old Dixon loved cars and trucks.
Southland Hug A Rig Day organiser Dianne Elstob contacted Southern Dragways in Invercargill, to see if they could do something special for Dixon’s family.
The two boys rode in Mr Gibson’s 1939 Chevrolet V8 Gasser and other cars and they were given merchandise by the club.
A crowdfunding page has been set up to support Dixon’s family.
It can be found on Southland Hug A Rig’s social media. — Allied Media
